- Skills:
This is a general skill assessment application for the assessment of tertiary ICT qualifications and ICT employment.
You need a qualification equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree. Instead of that, you can have a degree with an ICT Major +2 year-experience in the last 10 years, or
Qualification equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree or Higher with an ICT Minor +5 year-experience in the last 10 years, or
You need a qualification equivalent to AQF Diploma or Vendor Certification +5 year-experience in the last 10 years.
- Recognition of Prior Learning:
It is for applicants having qualifications with insufficient or no ICT content. Apart from that, it is also for those not having any ICT qualifications.
You need Non-ICT Qualification equivalent to AQF Diploma or Higher + 6-year related work experience, or
No tertiary qualification: work experience only + 8-year related work experience
English language requirements for Chief Information Officer 135111:
You must satisfy the following English language competency requirements for a positive RPL Australia ACS assessment:
- IELTS results: at least a score of 5 (L, R, W), 7 in speaking and 7 overall
- OET result: at least grade B in each section
- TOEFL iBT: at least a minimum score (L:12, R:13, W:21, S:23 overall L93)
- PTE Academic: having a minimum score of 50 (L, R, W), 65 in speaking and overall 65
Exceptions:
- Australian Graduate exceptions apply in some territories/states
- Priority Skilled Lists may apply a specific need in some territories/states
- The countries that are exempt from the submission of IELTS or OET are the UK, New Zealand, Canada, the USA and Ireland
Visa provision:
As the occupation featured on the STSOL list, you can apply for a Skilled Nominated 190 or a Skilled Regional Nominated 489 visa. If employed in this occupation and willing to pursue a GSM visa, apply for state nomination for Australian immigration.
