Klondike Solitare game is the most popular classic version of card games. The game goal is to create the four stacks of cards from Ace to King, and each foundation pile in the upper-right corner can only contain one suit. The card order is king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, ace. The game is over if there is no available meaningful move.
The game uses 52 playing cards. When you start the game, 28 cards will be shuffled and placed on the table in 7 piles. These piles are called tableaus, and they are laid out as single card, two cards, three cards, four cards, five cards, six cards, seven cards. The remaining 24 cards can be drawn if you tap on the deck at the upper-left corner.
Foundation piles:
In Klondike Solitaire, each foundation pile needs to start with Ace and end with King, all of the same suit. For example, you can place the Ace first, followed by the two of spades, the three of spades,.. and build up to the King. Once the four foundation piles are completed, you win the game!
Columns:
Unlike cards in foundation piles, cards in columns must be placed in order, starting from King and ending with Ace and must alternate between red and black. For example, you can put a red 8 on a black 9. You can only place a card on another card in the column if that card is the next one in sequence.
Runs:
You can move a partial sequence of cards to another column by tapping the card that heads the sequence and dragging it to the column you want. If you can’t move them, don’t worry! Just look carefully at the runs of cards you are trying to move. Maybe these cards are not placed in the descending sequence.
Empty columns:
You can only place a King or a full or partial descending sequence of cards starting with a king in an empty column.
How to win the Klondike Solitaire game
Game tip #1
Try to unveil the face-down cards as quickly as you can. You can find some important cards buried under other cards.
Game tip #2
If at all possible, place an ace or deuce card on the foundation. You’ll have a better chance of winning at Klondike Solitaire if you do this.
Game tip #3
The best move is the one that can open up numerous movements. Think and plan ahead before you make a move.
Game tip #4
If there are many move options available, select from the column with the most unexposed cards.
Game tip #5
Avoid stacking a single suit of cards in relation to others in the foundation. This makes it difficult to flip over more cards in the tableau of a color opposite to the “long” suit in the foundation.
Game tip #6
Use the Undo function if you change your mind when making a move.
