Steps To a Successful Escape Room Adventure

You have always wanted to try an escape room, but I did not know where to start looking for one, or what does it really mean? How about having examined the escape rooms, but you do not know how to start the search process for a game, then actually solve the puzzles to go out?

Lucky for you Brittnee is here! I will take you from the start to finish how to get the most out of your experience of the evacuation piece!

Step 1: Read this article

Step 1: Google and Yelp are your best friends

Google “Room of escape * your city name *” and see what happens. Dig deeper and check the card so you can even find a closer you. Once you have found some great prospects on Yelp and see how they compare to other rooms. Read some of the critics, you could even know that one is too scary for what interests you .. or we are not good with children.

Step 2: Discover their social media for promotional codes

You have found the escape room that you think you would like to visit, awesome. You can Google and Yelp as anyone. You will now want to see if they offer special codes on their social media pages. We always have the best offers on our Facebook and Instagram in my escape room. Sometimes you can find $ 5 discount on promotional codes that would not be mentioned anywhere else.

Step 3: Go to their website

Now that you have your Smarty pants discount, you will want to know when the place has the availability and in which they have rooms. The majority of places you will see will have several rooms with different themes. In addition, most escape rooms make you book in advance and some can be quite busy. Discover their booking page and see what they have opened. Then book it before anyone does it!

* Be careful when booking a partial piece. If there are 6 locations available and you had only reserved 4 players, 2 other players could join your game – if you call business, they can help you demolish and block it for you.

Step 4: Be on time!

Your playacar will love you for this and be on its good side, you can not be a bad thing. A playing master is the one that offers clues or clues if you have trouble after all.

Step 5: Listen to the rules / intro

They are there for a reason! Not only do we hate when guests break things, but we will generally tell you how to avoid things that would only your time! Do not forget that we want you to have fun and you go out! We will not tell you not to climb something like a turn. In addition, some rooms have informative intros that can even include some extra tips, so listen!

Step 6: No lollygagging

Ok, now you are in this gloriously decorated room and everything you want to do is watch all the details for the next 5 minutes. Nope. Do not do that. Most escape rooms in Philly give you 60 minutes, so you will need to jostle. Give yourself 10 seconds to appreciate the work they put in the aesthetics and then begin to tear it. (Not literally, that suck, just starts moving things and watching all places)

Sometimes you will need to find hidden objects around the room to help you with other puzzles … Sometimes you will sometimes need to find the puzzles … So start watching and gathering everything you find !

Step 7: Split Up

Some rooms are more difficult than others or have more puzzles than others, but there is no harm in separating. Some rooms have multiple linear and nonlinear puzzles (which means you will solve a puzzle that leads to the next puzzle and so on). You will benefit from the division in some teams and the multiple puzzle resolution at a time.

Step 8: Contact your group

There is nothing worse than spending 10 minutes looking for a key your teammate found when they entered and forgot that they had pocketed it. Do not be that person. When you find something, say everyone, maybe they will need it right away or at some point in the room.

In addition, if you have a hard puzzle, let others know. Everyone sees things differently, so they could have something you do not do. There is nothing to be ashamed of, I’m sure you can do the same for them later in the game.

Step 9: Ask for help!

Do not be afraid to make the game match your job! That’s what they are there for and they have probably been itching to help you for 30 minutes. Do not wait until it is too late to request an index. Some rooms are limited to them, others no. Make sure you know that you go to the room.

Always try to solve the puzzle alone or ask a member of the team to help first, but if it really reflects your ability to succeed, ask for a little elbow and go to the end!

Step 10: Always take a group photo

Even if you do not go out, I bet you really spent a moment of pleasure. Do not let the memories disappear. Get the group photo and share it on social media. Also tag the escape room, they will love it.

OPTIONAL BONUS Step 11: Review the escape room in Philadelphia

They will really appreciate this and it helps their business significantly. Remember how you looked at them on Yelp, the others also go. If you like the room and want to see them, add more for you to play, they will have to grow as a company. So see and tell your friends that it’s the best compliment.
